    find and open DLV_ext and where it says
    'auto_save = 1' , just change the 1 to 0, then run the game as usual

    DLV_ext.cfg to be precise. I could swear autosave is off by default, though...

    I think it's a bit unstable, so a lot of crashes I suppose.
