You need 1.5 or a faction without a family tree will be destroyed when their leader dies.

I don't know if that is the problem for me too. Downloaded everything that I needed including 1.5, but playing at least through on my 80 turns as Song Dynasty. Game carshed on me during switch to Mongol turn. I can't upload the system log up on this site due to the files exceeding over the limitation. Forgot to mentioned that my first leader had died around the turns 70 range and that the second leader was pretty close to the age of decline at around age 52 or more.
