    Have you moved the .avi files from FRAPS to another folder somewhere in the process? If you put those clips into your MM timeline, then moved them to a different location on your HDD, Movie Maker wouldn't know where they went, and you may get that message.

    Also, sometimes MM seemed to "forget" where they were located, so if you right-click on the clip and choose "browse for missing file" you may be able to fix this.

    cheers!

    HDD = hard drive

    there is no wrong place for those files, as long as MovieMaker knows where they are.

    If it rendered, then MovieMaker knows where the files are. The problem is either:

    a) the .avi file wasn't recorded properly from FRAPS (just open the file with windows media player to verify)
    b) Movie Maker settings (these can be a little tricky...you may have to try it a few times to get it right)
    c) video Codec problem (get the most up-to-date vid codecs by googling "K-Lite video codecs", and get the right version for your operating system...codecs are files that allow your media players to read different formats properly)

    If you are new to all this, we put on a MovieMaker course here at the TWC university...you can access all the lessons HERE, and you may find some answers

    As this is a very specific technical problem, not directly related to Napoleon, we can continue this discussion on my vid tech help page
