    Default Progress update possible?

This is not a moan or a nag or anything, but would it be possible for you guys to give us an update on how things are progressing? I can't wait to sink my teeth in to a full campaign, but I am waiting because I have already experienced 3 campaign-ending CTDs.

So any word on when we can expect a patch, and what it will contain?

Thanks a lot, all of your work is much appreciated.

It is possible you might see a patch next week. We'll see. Lots of minor fixes to many things, but we haven't discovered the cause of the CTD bug that seems to hit via army positioning or merging. Our script/trait team is hoping that the broken DesertWarrior trait is causing this in a roundabout way, but the only way we'll know is through mass testing.

Well, have to say, this kind of encouragement has no doubt facilitated the lather that the EB team have worked themselves into. Never seen such a flurry of activity in the bowls of the EB workshop.

.... Khelvan will no doubt keep you posted.

Khelvan, I hope this isn't too blasphemous to suggest, but have you all considered simply cutting out certain things that have shown themselves to be perennial probelms? The desert warrior trait is not exactly a must have. It affects a small number of people and to no great deal. The time and effort it'll take to correct it may not be worth the minute gain.

I mean, everything should be considered on a effort to reward ratio right?

That trait was fixed as soon as I saw that there was a bug. Believe me, we're not holding up the patch for a trait fix...

Those campaign-ending CTD's may in fact not be as bad. Did you try turning off fog of war and waiting through while the AI takes it moves? It takes a little while but in my experience so far, it works everytime. Plus, you get a good idea of what else is going on in the world.

I've noticed that in my Baktrian campaign, the campaign ending CTD happened whether or not toggle_fow was on or off.
