Im going to need a new laptop for this game...

Well considering my current laptop struggles with napoleon on minimal settings Im sure I'll need a new one for this,need a new one anyways.

So can anyone suggest decent gaming laptops or desktops,but not ones that are too pricy.
Id like the alienware mx11 but Id prefer a larger screensize,would I be able to plug it into a monitor when I want to?
I cant afford the MX15 though unfortunately.

If you're trying to save money, then a desktop is the sure way to go. If you need a laptop and live in America, check out an Asus G71Gx at Best Buy, it was relatively cheap and a good computer, although the graphics card has a tendency to overheat.

Nope Im British,if you could suggest some decent laptops that would be great,I could make do with a desktop but a laptop would be preferred.
Im considering saving up for the MX11 and buying it some time after the games release next year.

Hi Jezza

Looks to me like a lot of people have absolutley no clue what they are talking about when it comes to notebooks and laptops i am a member over at notebookreview and know my stuff im Tech Savvy.

Now regarding your laptop or the one you might be getting....

The M11X will play shogun or napoleon however dont expect great details on this alienware its equipped with the GT 3 series M card which is really not that strong for games and the I5 processor however you can max it out if you have the cash which is always a good option.

Now the M15X may be right up your street you can get a nice I7 Quad with a GTX 260M and 6 gigs for a reltively cheap price and again the upgrades are always there Alienware have easy to open slots and you can go SLI to WIN!!.

Now as i am a notebook Freak i own the M17X Monster R1 version this baby is packed with the Q9000 QUAD CPU + SLI 260M GTX CARDS + 8GB OF RAM + 1TB OF HDD SPACE.
My machine can play napoleon sweet as silk as its got 2 graphics cards in it it can run a lot faster and alienware have a good cooling to to add on top of that i think the M17X would be to big for you it weighs a ton and can crush your legs if your skinny or weak.

I have given you a rough example of what to get mate and i hope you do go with alienware because they are awesome and not a lot of people can even afford these laptops.

As for desktops they are a simple ageing process now being revolted by laptops im sure notebooks will take over soon as they just keep getting powerful and more powerful my M17X can own most desktops and its portable + ALIENWARE.
