Gold level barracks ?

Hi Guys

I was just going through a thread on how to take on the Samaritans and took a look at the screen shots posted and noticed that the players Roman army all had gold armour. I know the AI can build and recruit gold armoured units but can a player faction do the same ? I thought we were limited to just silver level or is that faction dependent ?

I believe the last temple of Vulcan (Awesome Temple of Vulcan or sth) gives the gold armour.

Ah ok, good to know. I've never gone on to build it, so wasn't aware thats what happened. I had thought that DVk/Tone/Apple had decided on giving the faction players just silver level armoury and also to stop untis just instantly gaing a chevorn or two when being retrained, etc.

I'm trying to build one in Rome in my campaign to see if that's the case. Hope I have golden armoured Praetorian Guard

If you build the right buildings you should be able to get gold armor, but not weapons.
