Improper units with custom battle?

So when I go to custom battle and choose a faction then the army select screen, it's just a bunch of units in no order from all over the place. Eastern and Celtic mainly. At first I thought it was mercenaries and just badly organised, but when I try it as Rome I get the same thing and don't see any Roman units whatsoever (however when I let the AI choose an army, it tends to create an army with 1 Roman unit I can't locate in the screen (along with a bunch of other Eastern/Celtic units)).

Did I screw up the install?

Sorry, I read all but the last question... Regardless, I still don't really understand the instructions it gives me Can someone give the dummys guide to fixing this? Sorry.

If you have installed the trivial script: start muiltiplayer instead of single player.

If not. Copy the back up EDU from the multiplayer folder to your EB\Data. To play single player, copy the one from the singleplayer back up folder. Just browse your EB folder and you'll see.
