A machinima movie I made :)

Hey guys!

So, I am new in this site. I was looking for a site like this for a while and just found it

So, I am 17 years old, I started playing Total War Series from Rome: Total War.

I am a movie creator, I have a very good youtube channel with my works. go to my channel, and you can suberscribe

So, I made a little machinima movie in Medieval 2 Total War. To record, I used a very very cool software called Overwolf. You can do many things with this proggram, the games of Total War series are not officaily supported by Overwolf, thats why you can see some little FPS drops.

I like what you did with the colors. There is a place dedicated to machimania on twc here, check in the stickies, there is a monthly competition. Check the fan video thread, full of amazing vids.

To help with your fps, M2TW has a buildin cinematic editor (tutorial), it's time consuming compares to in game video capture, but you have greater camera freedom and since the video is generated you can put all video settings to max without lags. Also further tips are available in a course on video making.

I like what you did with the colours but it seems like the video sometimes lags(?) at certain points?
Maybe because your PC cant handle a lot i suppose
Anyway looking forward to the final movie

@Playerka, Its because the proggram Overwolf (The one which i recorded the scenes with), is not Officialy supported with Total war games. thats why its not sync well as other games that are supported with Overwolf. Nothing with my comp (i5 760, 8GB RAM, ATI 5080HD Series)

I recommand xfire and FRAPS for your video capture (the free version of FRAPS only allows you to 30 seconde clips). Also each time you press a key to move the camera during recording it does eat lots of fps.

I would also recommend Xfire. It offers many features and is free of charge. Use it and love it.

Nice work RoDeX, the only real hardware solution to the sluggishness is to have multi-GPUs in your rig Xfired.
Multi-GPUs dominate Game recording. Oh and there is no 5080 series only HD 5800 series from ATI.

Unfortunately not me. I used it for the WinningEleven (football/soccer video-game series by Konami) and it worked as charm.

No, is there a problem with mods? I prefer cinedit, there is more possibility with it.

To me xfire is similar to FRAPS, just that fraps record a maximum of 30 sec in the free version.

Yes it doesn't work on mods. There was a thread about it in the SS forums was it for 6.3, works fine in XP i think not in vista and Win 7. Nobody came up with a solution so still looking for it.

I liked it up until the end... I mean, I know it's a teaser but there's still this building tension throughout most of it, and then at the very end we get a few seconds of action-music but all we see is a bunch of dudes shuffling about impatiently? wtf
