BB installation problem?

After playing DLV 6.2 on its own, I decided to "upgrade" to BB. Perhaps I'm not too clear on what it does (I thought it didn't change the turn based play, just the battles) or I installed it incorrectly (however, I do have a diff. map with limited America, BB loading screens, etc. so I don't think so):
1) I didn't get the choices of which DLV options I want to play with, I was put into the game right away. Are they turned on automatically (limited recruitment, building points, needing a high ranking general to recruit better cavalry)?

2) I also installed the increased/improved events, but I seem to be getting none. It's almost like playing the vanilla version except the units and forts are different.

When I was installing, I was asked if I wanted to overwrite some files. Was I supposed to do so?

You must have done something wrong. Reread the instructions and reinstall BB.

But if you have already read them then you should know already that BB does not only affect battles, given that the description is obviously there in the same post.

So here, this is where the description and instructions are -> BB.

And yes you will have to overwrite some files, that is how they become modded files. But you have to follow the install instructions, and also check the notes, especially if you are a Vista or 7 user.
