Default Thinking of buying new alienware computer! need help! :)

so, my current pc is screwed, so I "need" a new one! I'm into gaming (of course), and I want to be able to play games such as Rome, Medieval II, Empire and Napoleon (and later on Shogun 2) without any lag. So, I came across the Alienware Aurora model. http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-a...ienware-aurora

does it do the trick? does anyone have experience with it, or knows anything about that might be of interest? all help is appreciated!

Firstly Alienware = Ridiculously Expensive. I choose this the perfect setup right now:-

And Idiots tell me 2593$<--Lol no thankyou building a custom PC with the same specs will save me a ton of money and that is just the case, no monitor, keyboard or any funny thing selected.

And i selected like the OC profile for i7-930 and they charge me like 200$ while even a noob can learn that in 2 hours but i presume they will be placing a cheaper CPU cooler also but .
Also not to mention no option for USB 3.0 or SATA-III meaning they have older motherboards.

Best thing would be to built your PC with same specs and buy a cooler case then this with a good CPU Cooler rock up.

2000$ is everything you need including monitor etc.

    Do yourself a favor.

    Build your own.

It will be frustrating, and once you figure it out you will never have to buy a computer again.

Alienware is grossly overpriced for what they offer.

Using that page I built my EXACT system I put together three months ago.

    Their cost $2050
    My cost $1250

Even if you don't build it yourself just make sure you don't go Alienware. They bump up the prices massively just because it's Alienware.

Well, if you have a lot of money to spare there's nothing wrong with getting an Alienware.

Funny thing about alien ware, as grossly overpriced as it is.

Its still cheaper than a equivalent Mac

Kind of like the quintessential fat Geordie who’s just heard that Alan Pardrew has just signed on as the new manager Newcastle FC I’ll say ‘What a load of rubbish!’ Seriously $1K and all you get a micro ATX case, Intel Core i5 and a Radeon 5670 and Windows 7, a Dell Alienware has to be best advertisement for self build.

Alienware computers are SOOOOO ugly! Why would anyone pay money for them? I thought some of the custom cases on websites were insanely ugly, but they have ugly as standard issue, kinda like an Apple Computer, but ugly in a none cute scenes, not saying cute is bad, I'd blush if I had someone see me owning an apple.

*mouth drops* But that cost like.... 1/8th the cost of my 2 year old car!!!

How many games actually require 6gbs of memory on recommended? XD
