WTF is wrong with Graspop ?

They clearly Made the Slipknot logo bigger and more noticable then from Iced Earth,Moonspell,Sepultura and JUDAS PRIEST the band that practicly created the Metal as a sub-culture!! I'm so disgusted Just beacuse they have buncha fat ugly kids as fans doesn't means they are more important...
I thought Metal is about quality not quantity,at least the metalheads are claiming that.

Electric Wizard get the smallest print. They should definitely swap places with Slipknot.

I agree.. Let's face it, graspop is getting commercial.

That's my problem...With bands like that they shouldn't be the headliner

Oh and in my oppinion Black Sabbath is Big but Ozzy Is not that big... If you ask me JP are absolutely the Main metal there.

It's bands that draw the biggest crowds that headline. I don't like it anymore than you, but the festival wouldn't exist at all if it ignored profitability for crafting their line-up from personal preferences.

Judas Priest, Angelwitch, Electric Wizard, Sepultra and Iced Earth are awesome.

Slipknot and Parkway Drive.

It's called a headliner. When they headline, they play longer as they are more popular and have more fans.
Seriously though, what do you mean quantity over quality? The quality of the music is entirely up to the individual, and just because a band has alot of fans doesn't make them automatically bad.
I'm curious though, do you actually realise how ridiculous most of your posts sound before you post them? People like you make me angry, you claim to be a metal head and be embracing the metal culture, however when something you don't like comes along you go all close minded and, in this case dislike a band because they have "fat, ugly kids as fans". You do realise it was people like you in the first place trying to put down all metal when it was first played, right? Just stop being so close minded and accept the fact that there will be music you don't like.

I never said I'm a metalhead ( I never dress like a metalhead or " hang out " necessarily only with other metalheads ) i just listen to metal . And I know that slipknot is more popular then any other metal band on Graspop. But it's not like nobody ever head about JP, they have an large following ( " It's not as if Judas Priest are an unknown band "),enough large to be the Headliner of a metal fest oh and simply the respect for their work all these years.
By quality over quantity i meant that Metal in general was never about who's more popular ( at least i thought so )then who made a bigger contribution to the genre etc.

Hey,atleast they got the Scorpions up there, and Ozzy. Got the two old school stuff, it seems fair to pu the new guys up aswell, can't have it all be about the classics.
