problems with battlemap
Hi!
I'm having some problems with medieval 2/kingdoms. The campaign mode works fine, but when engaging in battle, the game crashes and I get the message " An unspecified error occured, and medieval 2 will now exit", or summat like that. Anyone knows how to fix this problem?
My computer is about 4 years old and I'm using Windows XP. The game has worked fine before, so I can't really figure what's wrong.
Thanks in advance

Re: problems with battlemap
Do you have any mods installed?
Have you modded the gameany?
Have you tried reinstalling the game in case something got corrupted?
Changed any hardware?
Added/changed any software?

I got no mods installed, I've reinstalled the game twice, and I've never changed any hardware. I installed some music production software and a couple of other games six months ago, but all of those are uninstalled.

Have you cleaned out your case lately?
Have you run disk cleanup and defragged your harddrive lately?
If you unpacked the game, did you delete the two geography files?

Hm.. I deleted all old m2 files. Haven't run a disk cleanup for as long as I can remember, or cleaned the case.

Then it maybe overdue. I would advise both.

I have the same problem as you...... irishron, suggested two things at the end for you to try.. one was de-fragging, the other was cleaning the case.. You never replied back to him.. so did that work for you?? And what is meant by "cleaning out the case"?? I'm am unfamiliar.

@Salvus, you have one other thread going right now. Reply to it will make things simpler for both of us.
