Please help NTW turns grey during battles

Hi
I have a huge problem. NTW (everytime I play) ETW (sometimes) turn grey during battles and sometimes on the campain screen. I still can hear the game sound but I can't do anything to get back to desktop or anywhere. I don't get an error message or so, I have to restart my computer. On ETW I am running a mod (DarthMod Ultimate Commander 6.2). On NTW no mod but a trainer (MegaTrainer experience) sometimes. I have tryed it without all the background stuff (mod trainer) as well, but it doesn't help. I have updated my graphic driver and looked up dozens of threads here in the forum, could find anything helpful.

Have done everything you told me but with point 1 the Amd Driver it still shows me that I have installed driver version 8.14 for 3d and open gl but I have CCC version 10.11 - got that all from the AMD homepage. Have i done something wrong? if so how can i do it right? Sorry I am not really good at this?

but know steam fools me: it tells me the game (both NTW and ETW) are not available right now. - I am totally confused right now

Delete the clientregistry.blob in the Steam folder, then try it.

Done but ETW still doesn't start anymore. NTW does start but still has the graphic issue

I really want to thank you for helping me. I wouldn't know where else I could find help. I bought the game (ETW) years ago and I had to play it at my cousins place( under the worst conditions) because my PC was to weak for it. Now that I have a better PC I would love to have everything just going fine.

A question: could it be a problem with the screen that I am using? because I use my HDready TV. I mean right from the beginning I thought it is not a good idea but I wanted to save money. Should I buy a prober PC screen?

Tbh, I have never tried it on a tv. If your tv supports the resolution with the cables supplied, I'd use it if I could get it to work. Has it ever worked at least once?

Yeah thats the thing I think my Tv doesn't support the resolution (TV 1280x768 and the game I ve set much higher) I am gonna test it when I am off work.
