    Default Playing More than the Original Five Factions

    Hi,
    I apologize for asking what's probably an incredibly simple-minded question, but I just got MTW2 a few days ago and am still finding my way about it.
    How do I play as factions other than the English, Germans, French, and Venetians? I currently can't.
    Thank you, and apologies again!

    a faction is unlocked when you defeat in the campaign.also if you complete a short campaign with one of these 5 all factions will be unlocked.another way is this.
    go here C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign and find a file named descr_strat.txt
    open it and cut and paste all factions from unlockable to playable

    Beat a short campaign. I suggest England.
    Jon had taken Donal and Benjen’s advice to heart: Sam may be fat and pathetic, but he is still a member of the watch, and one of the few black brothers who isn't a rapist or thief. (out of context, this sounds ridiculously racist)

    You go in the medieval 2 main directory and open the medieval2.preference.cfg file with notepad and put his command in it and save it.
    Code:
    [misc]
    unlock_campaign = true
    All possible on-topic answers received & searching also helps as it has been told many times.
