No. Forts are a blight on NTW. They are banned from ever gracing this mod.

The AI handles them terrible, and they are full of bugs and glitchs.

Which reminds me, I/we should disable them in the db as well as startpos.

No to mention that they are worthless in this mod if the enemy brings artillery.

Sometimes I get one SMG unit, and garrison 20 of those Ottoman melee units in a fort. The carnage is great to watch >

Otherwise, you can take walls out with 1-2 shrapnel shots, which isn't very formidable.

Forts weren't really used that much eh? Not on the Western and Eastern fronts. I believe the Ottoman had some, but that's it.

Belgians as well I believe, but like you say they weren't used often. Definitely not worth the hit on gameplay.

Well Verdun was a huge frenchie fort the Germans had to take in order to advance into france...
