Things are going okay except I would appreciate some help in making a base diffuse texture file for this new officer model I want to use. The only real problem is that the wig is appearing on the neckcloth. See below:I'm also looking for late 18th century Danish marine pictures or descriptions. Carricanta has very kindly sent me a huge amount of information on this but its a pdf document written in Danish and the permissions appear to prevent me copying and pasting to a translator and it appears mainly concerned with officers uniforms rather than NCOs.Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The last UVMap should fit better.
But I have problems with dds file : wigs are "hidden"
The wig was part of one of the head-joints in the old ETW euro_general_and_officers model, wangrin. The screenshot there would be fine except I want all of the old wig at the back of the head in.

It's not really a problem with the UVMap, it's a problem withh dds texture.
You have an "alpha channel" use to mask formerly texture where the wigs texture is.
I can place wigs and belt UVMap wherever you want, but I can't modified dds as I don't have Photoshop (nor Gimp).
Early Danish Marines on ships:I also plan releasing a modded startpos that will remove the fog of war in Danish-regions when playing as Denmark and make Denmark an absolute monarchy.I've already created the startpos and I want to thank Fortes and HussarITW for their assistance in explaining how to do it. I've also replaced the old Frederik IV monogram (circa 1700) with the more common one on soldier's koppel-bags:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:And the solution is?Originally Posted by wangrin

Unit-preview: 1st Jyske Regiment (early):This was the only Danish cavalry regiment to receive breastplates in 1701 - even though officially all cavalry regiments were to the receive them - a requirement only implemented in 1708. At this stage the armour was not yet painted black. After the 1711 uniform-regulations it was.Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I haven't a clue about that wangrin! Will need your help for the new officer model and texture. My only modding experience is editing existing textures to make new units, minor startpos edits e.g. remove fog of war, change forms of govt, and Prestige buildings. Creating new models is new to me and creating first-time textures (as opposed to using other ones as base) is new to me.

Late Danish Admiral wip (plate from 1764):At some point after 1749 the navy replaced the redcoated uniforms with blue. The officers adopted blue in the 1750's and the ratings (except conscripts) did from 1752 (the latter having worne a grey one pre-1722 and a brown one in 1722-39). Cadets wore a grey coat until 1722 and the coat became blue in 1755. I have a picture from Carricanta's sources showing a NCO in 1797 wearing a blue-coat so I'm going to make a late marines unit with Prussian-blue coats and release a version with early/late marines on ships. It will likely be based on this picture of a "petty-officer" (an NCO) from 1792:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:I'm thinking of using the euro_company_infantry model for this unit. Actually I think I might use the existing euro_marine model already in the game albeit with a reskin for late marines. I've noticed that for Denmark, it is fairly close to the real thing. See below with reskin:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
