So the current 1.3 version won't work at all on 2.1a? Like to start a new campaign
Great work btw.

thanks
i haven't tried it yet...
it will work..
though the descriptions won't be there...
seeing that the devs made text changes to the descriptions of the ancillaries
I can't download the patch yet...
megaupload just won't work for me
I will upload a new one soon as I get my hands on the new patch...
Ok got it. I will upload the new patch to filefront. Thanks for the quick reply
What would happen if i would instal this and not start a new campaign![]()
the other legion ancillaries work fine with the save...
but the praetorian one can cause quite a mess...
you'll get that ancillary in almost every single city...
so technically your saved campaign will still work...
though the multiple praetorian ancillaries are, I'm sure, not to everyone's liking![]()
Yeah, sorry. I meant I was going to put these in the next full Patch (2.2). Patch 2.1a is just basically a compilation of the fixes that 'should've' been in it, and it will be save game compat. with any 2.1 campaign. But 2.2 will likely not be save game friendly.

I remember these were in the early beta, but were not working right so were taken out, its nice to see someone redo this +rep
Ok well about my post above..
I tested this numerous times and it may be a bug.
Every time i started a campaign i activated the reforms from turn one. Then i used Arretium as the city to get the ancillary for a general by cheating to build all the buildings. most times it would crash and when it didnt nothing would happen.
I tried the same thing with Ariminum and everything went fine. so maybe there is something wrong with arretium in some way![]()

@chris10 that's weird...i did check it with Squid's trait/ancillary validator
but your guess is as good as mine...maybe i should just remove that?
