Well wouldn't they get i influence for being assigned to a legion DVK?

Repman's BareBones mod uses a tripartite system: Legate, Praetor, Consul giving each +3 Command, PersonalSecurity 1/2/3 and Siege Engineering 20/40/60. I'd say that makes sense because of the staff those officers gather.
toluas ...if we think a moment about the balance in battle and the bonuses to morale granted to the AI I feel that anything more than +1 would seriously harm the balance of the game. After all its just another bonus for the Roman Player....to much bonuses in the ancillaries would make RSII go back in direction vanilla where players had 50 casualties and the AI 2486
In SPQR you get +1command,morale and influence...thats plenty having in mind the quality of Roman Cohorts and morale bonuses granted by first cohorts and generals
Obviously I can only speak for myself but even with the current setting H/H the game is still a cakewalk for veterans...
If now I imagine my troops would get another +3 morale and my generals +3 command....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....
By raising the stats for ancillaries all other stats for AI morale have to be raised as well or balance will be kicked away but this would bring us back to the overlengthy battles people where complaining about after release...![]()
If you guys dont mind, may i use your submod as a base to do something of the same for certain greek city-states that would tend to be fairly independant? I just cant see something so awesome only go to the Romans![]()

No, chris, we do agree on this. I was referring to the Siege and Personal Security boni - I thought that was clear from my earlier statement that I think +3 Command is too much (post #60).
@Aspis: I'd love to see this implemented.
I do think that an Influence of +2 or 3 is nessisary. Imagine having over 3,500+ men at your command! I think that's quite the influencial person. And as soon as he is striped from command, he loses the Influence. Even the worst commanders of legions had high influence. Also the +3 command is too high, because if you strip the commanding officer of his army, he still doesn't get magically more dumb and cant command as before. I think just +1 is just fine. Moral +1 is also good. Maybe a SMALL bonus to movement, since logistics were very important to a legion.
Just wanted to put in my 2 cents

awesome!
why massalia is not included in list of cities where a general can get an ancillary?
is this save game compatible after all?
Great, I'll include this in the next Patch.![]()
