    Icon4 Issue with PC

    Ok,
    to start it off, here is my dxdiag..(Sorry if its a bit too much. I really want this problem solved.)

    Problem
    Every time I run a game, it will run fine for a few minutes then go to a screen on my monitor saying that the video has lost connection.
    Note: This only does this when I'm playing games.
    I tried to push the video card more soundly into place but it is more then secured into the mother board. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?

    Could be a failing card or power supply either could cause this issue. But just as a general rule, uninstall all display drivers and run driver cleaner then reinstall them and retest.

    You have XP so go in control panel>Add or Remove programs.
    And uninstall your display driver, after that use driver sweeper to clean it. Restart it and then install the latest display drivers.

    no lol, you download the newest one off the product website which coressponds to your model in your case a nvidia 9500GT http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk
    I would imagine there is a proper link depending on country, just head to the default website www.nvidia.com.

    the drivers provided on disks are normally ancient so this would be a benefit in performance if nothing else.

    Lol thanks guys I'm really not inept with most of this stuff I just need a guiding step most the time. Thanks a bunch! Hopefully it works!

    Nope still didn't work :\ I also know it's not a failing video card since it's 1.5yrs old. The computer itself is only 2 years old so the power supply would not die that fast.

    could disable vsync and triple buffering off. (cures some signal errors)

    last resort try lowering your desktop to 60 mhz.
