Can't play the game or any mods except Stainless steel 6.3

Every time I try to play a battle in vanilla or any mod it loads up, no land shows up but the units are there and then the game crashes saying something like "Medieval 2 has encountered an unspecified error and will now exit" except in Stainless Steel 6.3. Everything else works fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

Stainless Steel is modfoldered so it should make no difference unless there is something wrong with the vanilla files (Ventetian Heavy Infantry for one) or the mods' files are bugged.
