Default Most Stable and Challenging Sub-mod Mix for SS6.3, + HRE Professional Roster?

    Howdy Folks,

I'm looking to fire up another livestream campaign in about a month or so, one that I'll be tracking and recording extensively.

As such - I want it to be interesting, and a darn good challenge to boot. I used to play pre SS 6.3 using this 2TPY compilation package:

What currently out there is most like that compilation? Ie - 2tpy, with construction recruiting times properly balanced? Is SS 6.3 as is stable over the course of a very long game, or am I better off waiting a bit longer for submods / hotfixes to be implemented?

Also, I was wondering what the HRE recruitable unit list was once they get into the Late era, with professional armies. Are they still able to recruit some fashion of heavy shock infantry, at the very least?

    Thanks for the input.

    Well...

Download SS6.3, then Download Meneth's Sub-Mod Compilation, it includes a 2TPY version of both Early Period and Late Period.

Yes, assuming you download the sub-mod compilation or the Fixes (one or the other is needed, not both) then you should have a very stable game (assuming you did it correctly, otherwise you will have a crash a turn or three afer the mongolians spawn, as well as a turn 51 crash, among other charming things).

HRE roster is still the one you know and love, just tweaked.

EDIT: That was an RR/RC link you gave, SS6.3 uses the old RR/RC so you should feel at home if you also toggle on the New UI option when installing Meneth's sub-mod compilation.

Just use MSC, all the sub-mods are bug free.

A mod that is worth testing out but is in beta at the moment is RollingWaves Historical Roster Revision mod adds some really good changes. Especially to Islamic factions.

@Smokey Bacon: Bug-free would be somewhat of a stretch
Only 2 known bugs, one of which is getting fixed next release, though.

Well it's pretty stable on the whole. Nothing to complain about lol.

Make sure you keep your old version!! So if 6.3 doesn't work out, you can fall back on something.
