I'm a big fan of the new naval battles, and I was wondering if there was going to be new ships like submarines or torpedo boats. If so, that would really make the naval battles more exciting.

Aanker could best answer you here, as he has alone created the fantastic naval overhaul for TGW.
It includes destroyers, which if you look closely have torpedos. Submarines, we're still thinking about how to best implement. And if you are asking about the naval models, if thats ever done, it will be a long while.
