We currently have the option of starting an "Early Era Campaign" at 1100 CE, or "Late Era Campaign" at 1220 CE.
In your opinion, what would be the best start date for a "High Era Campaign" if a modification were to come out for it?
Begin Rambling
If we follow the pattern, a High Era Campaign would be an additional 120 years into the future, so 1340 CE would be a candidate. However, there are popular notions to start it at the year 1370 or even 1450 (Though this late of a year would unlock practically everything, leaving not even a short wait for new units). Searching in the older forums has revealed a multitude of opinions for a multitude of SSX versions, and I would like an updated opinion.
What are your thoughts? Feel free to provide a specific year after you post (If you have an argument for your position, that would be even better).
EDIT:
Note that this will be a 2TPY (You have to wait twice the time for events) and a 1TPY project, to capture both audiences.
Popular Historical Mentions:
Reconquest of Constantinople and Death of Norman-Sicily will be instated regardless of Year and Crusader States will lose The Holy Lands (heavily spread out and weakened, Rhodes being the only notable settlement)(<1300)
Black Death 1346-1354
Timurid Invasion 1370
Gothic Plate 1450 chance to 1460
2nd Fall of Konstantinopolis: 1445
Fall of Eastern Roman Empire: 1461
