I updated my kingdom gold to 1.5? or the newest patch and when I try to play something that uses kingdom.exe this error message comes:

If Vista or 7, disable the UAC.
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=408132 Are we now talking about a mod? Which is it?
Could you start a camapaign after installing Kingdoms?
Could you start a campaign after applying the patch and BEFORE installing the mod?

Not in my book. The four Kingdoms capmaigns sold by CA/Sega to me are not mods. They only become mods when someone like King Kong turn them into Stainless Steel and Third Age or me or a host of other modders.
If it's Teutonic, bet on a bad 1.5 patch.
Try uninstalling everything starting with the Kingdoms campaigns, deleting the Sega folder in Program Files (x86) and the Medieval II Total War folder hidden in %appdata%, run a registry cleaner, reboot, then install in C:\Games.
You'll have to keep trying different patches until you find the right combination. Have you tried Sega support to see what they recommend for your language?
If you're one of the lucky ones with a phone number or an email to their support people, please use it. If not, put in a support ticket. Mine is US non Gold version and the rest of the language I really don't know.
The hotlink in the error message you received has a SecuRom address. It looks like it may be a Securom issue then. What other games do you have installed on that machine? Do you have any disc image software or emulation software on that machine?

That is just bizzare, I inserted disk two on purpose to try and replicate the "Wrong disk" error, and I did not get anything from SecuRom.
Not too bizarre - disc two of Gold doesn't have Autoplay or an .exe to start. That's what SecuRom would flag. For some reason it looks like SecuRom is screwing you. Try contacting them - irishron knows more about that than I. Good luck!

Glad to hear it's now working. Good luck.
