Is it possible to have NTW vanilla units in ETW as a part of a mod???![]()

No. NTW units use variant files, which ETW can't use. But ETW units can go to NTW I believe.
Im not sure on the legality of it either.
Where is the problem -of legality- if you bought the two games?![]()
If you release it for empire you make a product freely avaible also for those who didn't bought Napoleon... so they can use stuff which they never bought.Where is the problem -of legality- if you bought the two games?
Until now CA and Sega didn't prohibited it, official (as DICE and EA did, with BF42/BF2 and BF 2142) so you can try it... but you can't complain if you get a message to stop it.
It's possible, but a bit difficult. Is it possible to have NTW vanilla units in ETW as a part of a mod???![]()
You can open the NTW file types with UU3D and save them in any file format you want and then you can "glue" the model parts thogether. You also have to make all texture parts as one sheet.
You will also have to redo the whole bone weighting and you also have to rearrange the UV Maps.
The context in which i asked is, I had seen a mod(in a forum, don't remember which forum) for M2TW Kingdoms which combined all features and factions of M2TW and Kingdoms. But of course it required that the user had to install both the games. So to make the mod, i'll have to buy NTW and the people in order to use such mod would have to do the same. So they will have to buy both games anyway...
With Regards...
