    Default Making the vegetation/climates public

    Hi,
I'm thinking it could be a nice gift to the modding community to make the climate work available to anyone that wants to use it.....what do people think?

I think it's really up to you and dvk901.

If the details of what was doen are released the best place for it would be the 'Rome Workshop' - although I'm not sure exactly where.

It would appear if some mods may already be using it (although the screens aren't that great) : http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...47#post8540947

    Well, it wouild be great!

Well, look at the vegetation of Tone in Europe Barbarorum (Dark Edition - work in progress)

I think it's better nature will not do. And its application in different mods will witness the great success of authors RS2

I think it's a wonderful idea. RS2 has re-kindled a lot of interest in RTW mods, so this could help fuel the fire a bit.

Having anticipated this happening eventually, just so you know, I have pulled the environment 'in total' out of RS2 and 'Packaged' it, so to speak. In fact, I dropped it into Florin80's 'Fall of Rome' and it looks beautiful. The only thing that needs to be done is that descr_climates.tga needs to be altered to match the RS2 climate scheme. So I guess it's a matter of HOW you would want to release it, Tone? We could present the package as is (without the models as in RS2), and provide instructions on what has to be changed, or with the models if that's what you want to do. Either way, all I'd need is the models and it can be done. (I don't have them, BTW.) I prefer the first option myself, as that allows you 'some' control over what happens to, or who gets, your models. But that's up to you.

24 or 25th ideally for a Christmas present.

TBH, I'm happy to include all the models in this.....it'll make it more useable. So here they are:

I've changed my mind about this seeing an unofficial Chinese mod for EB using the environment on their unofficial submods section with no permission given by us.

Can we leave out the models please?

    tone,
Which Chinese submod for EB? I have not seen him. Or are you talking about the pictures that I showed above? This is a picture of my submod, which does not exist anywhere except my computer and I do not intend to lay out for public use without you permission.

Could always push it back as a 'start of the new year' gift to the modding community if more time is needed...

Release on that date would be fitting, with all our Chinese banter from the past hahahaha

I'd rather release it as a late Christmas present to be honest.

Sorry, I just haven't had any time to work on this. I hope to get it uploaded before the New Year.....which means I better get my butt in gear, I guess.
