I have been watching my internet upload/download usage (from my ISP website Rogers) lately and noticed that the numbers dont make any sense. On an average day I read and answer my e-mails, read the news, listen to music on youtube etc etc. But Rogers says I used 1.1 gigs that day!! Thats complete bs. And back to my question. Can cable internet (not wireless) be "hacked" and used without my knowledge? I know that can be done with wireless. Or is Rogers just screwing me over and adding their own "magic" download figures? Yesterday as an experiment I turned off my modem and unplugged the ethernet cable for a day. No possible downloads. I went to the Rogers website this morning and they have stopped showing my internet usage. Is this a conspiracy against me?
Thanks
