Mainly noticed while typing and things like that. Under Win XP SP3, not a sausage. Not even a whiff of lag - what sort of things could be causing this? Both O/S using Firefox.

Done scans, all's clean. Besides, as I said, no problems under Win XP. Any malware ends up on the same HDD - so surely it would affect XP as well?

how many firefox.exe are there in your task manager's processes tab?
Did you try uninstalling>Clean registry and reinstall again of fire fox?
Latest edition of Firefox, just the one firefox.exe in Task Manager, but it's worth a shot at a completely fresh installation after a registry clean - thanks.![]()
