My faction leader once got Desert Warrior for standing around in Crete, for some reason...
But no, I can't top that leaderI seem to be getting pretty crap generals, really...
He has 1 less star in my game at the moment... but by the time I've taken him through wales and into the north I think he'll be able to match that... he does seem a little 'too good' - although I've seen AI generals waltzing around who are just as good
Yer .. a couple of peeps have found this now. We are aware of it and should be fixed in the next build.
hmm... looking at that screenshot again I see you have a unit of archers with 120 men... mine only has 30. I set my prefs to Large and that seems like quite a big jump to huge... has it somehow ignored my Large setting? (What should the full strength count be for the casse archer unit at large setting?)
Unit size cant be changed durning campainge. New settings will be applied when you start new campagne.
Yes it can. Download RomeSage, a savegame editor. It allows you to edit all sorts of settings, mostly difficulty and size settings. If you change the size settings, all of your units will retain their current size, but any new units you train will be at the new size (and I believe you can retrain your current units to get them to the new size).Originally Posted by LorDBulA
Yeah I know, I'm just wondering if it somehow ignored my large setting... if 120 is huge, 30 sounds more like medium (which is default IIRC)... whereas I definitely selected Large...
The first time I played yuezhi I set large but I though the units were to small so I restarted and changed to huge. This tim e my regements were 4 x as big so I changed back to large and finally the regiments were the right size...

I had a picture of my faction leader for the Romans, I lost it somewhere on my abyss of a hard drive. Under him, the Julii had expanded to include all of Gaul, Britania, and the Spanish (vanilla). One leader. He didn't have full stats, but he had full influence, okay governing power, and about 9 stars for battle. However, he had a huge amount of traits, you had to scroll down when it was in the full mode. (When you don't have the option to recruit below him.) He had all these bonuses against different types of battles, so the 9 stars was irrelavent. (Things like plus 3 when attacking, plus 4 when defending or something). His retinue had somewhere near 20 people. Insane.
I'll find a picture in a bit, I think I have a saved game with him.
I also once had my family gain 31 traits in one turn.

Yeah, they're making me tone some of his bonuses down a bit, so enjoy him while you can!Originally Posted by PSYCHO V

I won't bother doing that for this game, but it sounds like a useful tool... any ideas as to whether its an EB bug or just a general RTW glitch (although its never happened before as far as I can remember)
Preferences such as unit size are overwritten during the installation of EB. This is a known issue and will be fixed in a future version.
