    Default Senate Elections question

    Greetings all !

Quick question LT, were you using the 4 turn mod written by Marcus Camillus ? Out of curiosity I edited this file to see what would happen. All that I need to change was the strat.txt in the campaign folder. Simply replaced it with the SPQR 5 version. I am not sure if SPQR was using a different mod but I got some interesting results. First, I am now getting Senatorial elections. Playing as the Scipii Julianus has recieved two appointments over a ten year period, the Brutii and the Julii are creeping up the political ladder aswell. Secondly I am a great fan of the earlier period and now the game starts in 280 BC ! I get to keep my Polybian legions for a much longer perioid Of course all of this is rubbish if this is the same mod that was causing the senatorial problems in the first place, in which case sorry to waste your valuable time (see motto below)

Hmm, its was from Mydraal, who first made the Generator to make the 4 turn script. I WONDER why yours is working all the 4 turn a year should stop elections. are you sure your script is working? also where is the script located for download. it would be interesting to see what they did different, IF it is working withe elections.

Top o the mornin to ya LT (or what ever time it is in your part of the wolrd )

I have checked and double checked and yes my script is running ! I am definitely getting four turns per year and the senate positions are definitely changing. I have only play tested it for a couple of days now but I have no doubts that I am getting different family members elected. The Brutii and the Julii are also participating with at least one family member from each faction obtaining a lower position in the senate. The Senate faction is still dominating the higher ranks and I have noticed that their individual family members are exchanging ranks, so it is definitely not stagnant.

I am playing 5.0 on a fresh install, which bye the way is working very well ! The Carthaginians have two huge fleets containing upgraded ships with at least two silver chevrons. They are constantly reinforcing Sicily with full stacks transported from the north African Mainland. They are putting up a hell of a scrap, just the way I like it ! cheers for that

Now the download I am using is a little out of date, designed for use with RTR 6.2. (document virus free and attached to this post )or You can get a new copy here ...Marcus Camillus 4tpy His email is on this post so you can go straight to the horses mouth and ask all them experty type questions that newbie plebs like myself can not answer

If I have helped a little, I am twice as useful as I could have hoped to be .

Funny it looks like the same generator I used, I see nothing different in his script except the addition of the advisor popping up on the first game. His mod should have senate election working. Has anyone else confirmed this? Because there is no difference for it to work for one player and not the rest.
Until I see multiple proof that this is so I cant accept it. I have no time to test why the script is supposed to work, its the same one, we both got the generator from Mydraal. He was the first who made the script.
