Icon5 HOW TO MOD OUT TRACER EFFECTS FOR ARTILLERY

Just a question on how to take out the tracers for solid shot with regards to land battles and tracers for sea battles.

    Thanks,

There are already a couple of mods doing that. One was named patch_no_tracers.pack, I think, and the other may have been called Getting Rid of Projectile Clairvoyance. Ketzer created one of them. Search the forums for these files.

Thanks for the info and I did try it but to no avail. I put the patch_tracers.pack file in the data folder as well as the DMUC-UMain folder in the campaigns folder but it didn't solve the issue. It seems the file is named patch_tracers.pack and perhaps I might just have to learn to love the tracers at this point.

You need to activate this mod, like most mods. Use either the Mod Manager for this, launching the game from that program, or a command line in the user.empire_script file, launching the game in the usual way through Steam. Detailed installation and activation instructions should be available in the OP of the thread where you found the mod or perhaps in a readme file which was downloaded along with the mod. Check the following thread for further instructions regarding the Mod Manager and that script file: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=314270.
