Do an SVN update before starting any new campaigns. It is now fully updated to the corrected RS2 Patch 2.1. It is probably NOT save game compatible because of some rebel faction changes and map changes.

Well... me too... update SVN now and run the game ; Crash before the intro... What the problem ?

Updated SVN - its bugging out like the other guys. Tried it via launcher and the bat files for RTW and BI, but same thing. Crashes after the RSII slpash screen pops up.
Interesting....because mine was broken as well. One thing I did notice was that SVN reported some folders 'Obstructed' in the 'data\_important_stuff' folder. I deleted them and did an SVN update, but nothing happened. It was still broken. Finally, I installed the release version of RS2 INTO the SVN folder, copied the Patch 2.1 one into it, and then it was fixed. It also reports everything as being up to date.
I suspect something on the server may be amiss, because I could not fix this thru SVN, so it appears the only solution is to do what I did. Sorry.

So what do you want us to do?
Do a svn update, then install the released version into svn folder?
and then copy the patch into the same folder?
Will this fix Spartans roads?
And the other things i spoke about?
Plus the new screen for Sparta? Not the old generals guard screen, found on the released version?
The new screen is on the svn beta.

Τhanks chief! Working now!!!
SW, try updating again...if that doesn't work, install the RS2 release version into SVN, as I said, and then do an update again. There is something amiss on some people's SVN copies (including mine) that it seems SVN may not be able to fix. So you need to 'help it' by installing RS2 into it. This works because everything IN the installer came from SVN anyway. If you copy the Patch into it, and then do an update in SVN, that should fix everything.
The FACT that you have the old Spartan screen tells me your SVN isn't right, because the new one is (and has been for a long time) in SVN.

DVK,
Just ran an SVN update .. its now working.. so great work on trackign down what was causing the bug out and fixing it! Just kick started a new Selecuids campaign - No 6. One thing I've noted the new campaign starting at 94 SE is that correct ???
DVK, the old Spartan screen is on the released rs2 how is that poss.?
Also no roads from Sparta to Olympia.
The svn spartan screen is OK. I haven't checked the roads yet, but will report. I just updated svn.
And no problems so far. And that's not using the update from the released rs 2. Does this all make since? lolo
Should i still use that released rs patch and mini file on my rs2 beta svn as you said, even if i have no problems?
Are you saying put the whole rs2 released mod into svn? Then use the update patch?

The old Spartan screen was IN the original release of RS2. I put the new on in the Patch. Glad SVN is working again...it's a real mystery what happened, because I watched VERY carefully what files SVN uploaded from my PC, and I couldn't see anything different from what it uploaded when I broke everyone else's (including mine, lol). Anyway, the current updated SVN is up to date as far as my current progress with the next Patch, except for a change to the treasury buildings. And it 'should' have fixed all the road problems in Greece, SW.
