Default DLV_ext Folder in vanilla M2TW folder

Is there a DLV_ext file in Vanilla?

Perhaps that sounds strange, but I just completely removed my entire SEGA folder and began making a clean install of M2TW Gold Eddition.

I swear I have not begun installing DLV, yet there is already a folder called DLV_ext in my Medieval II Total War folder right after unpacking everything.
It contains 3 folders: packs, preferences, and saves.

    What...the...dingle??

    Is this normal?

It's probably normal for what you did but not for what you are saying. Either you removed stuff in the first place, and it's gone until you put it back, or you didn't and so it's still there. Somehow you didn't remove what you thought you removed. But then DLV does not put any such folder there, so that must have been you too

    Thanks Taiji,
I would have had to look directly at residual folders post deletion and not 'see' that they were still there. Just had to be sure that I was indeed loosing my mind. Outside confirmation is always key for making such assessments.
