    Default garrison script question

im playing SPQR 8.0 and i havent played it in a week cause of the occupy/enslave/ext CTD that frustrated me, ive gotten back and attacked tolosa on my own terms and captured it. after i secured tolosa, i had a third legion arrive and go for burdigala. however, i forgot to activate the garrison script at that time (not playing it for a while made me forget about it), and when my forces were within 2-3 squares of burdigala, i noticed that the city had like 5 unit cards in it. i sent my spy north of burdigala and didnt see any gaul stacks within 1 turn of the city (same thing with area south of city), next turn i notice a full stack of gaul units in burdigala, there were about 17 or 18 unit cards in it, mostly heavy spear warbands, and swordsmen. my question is this, how can the garrison script be working if i didnt activate it after loading the save game? do i have to load it whenever i play another different save game or for the same save game everytime? (this also includes shutting off the game or restarting it due to CTD)

Aw its in readme buuut - you need to activate it every time to work. Maybe you did it and just dun remember. Also it takes turn for it to kick in, so I presume you really did activate it.

Oooor...it could be that the city just happened to generate a large chunk of high quality troops on that turn.

Usually the script generates a rag-tag stack of light troops on the turn after you lay siege.
