I has watching this movie today and one line , particulary this one :

"We have endured decades of humiliation for this day . After tommorow if our efforts end in failure , this perverted timeline will continue and the truth will be silent, forever in disgrace . We cannot afford to lose this opportunity "

and then I went " Hey ! This movie could be about Palestinians going back in time to stop Israel from ever happening"

Do you guys find any similarities or is it just me?

I didnt watch it but I read the wiki info on it and I didnt find any similarity to Israel and Palestine considering the film takes place in Japan and Korea.

    Here be spoilers :

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Well, if you've read carefully you've know that a bunch of Korean freedom figthers go back in time to repair history already altered by the Japanese so they wouldn't loose world war II and get bombed .

And I was seeing some similarities thinking in the lines that Hamas (if they had their hands on time travel technology) would definetely travel back in time to kill important Israeli heads-of-state before they produce the sionist guverment . See the resemblance NOW?

There is no resemblance. The movie doesn't try to make that connection. Its something you, completely on your own, concluded. Probably from a pre-existing bias No reasonable person would view that film and think "Hamas would do this." It really is a complete non sequitur and I am sure that the film makers would state that it was never their intention for such a conclusion to be drawn.

Where have I have said that the film-makers had that intention in mind when making that movie?

I do recall stating that this movie got me thinking , as I can sometimes think up different plots & ideas when watching a movie, I do see similiarities in the fact that the Honekujin here undercover group, the invaders of their country view them as terrorists and the Koreans viewed them as liberators or patriots.
And I'm already ing biased for stating an opinion?!??

Jesus, the internet's getting agressive by the day.

Yes Hamas would probably do that given the opportunity.
So would anybody or any group who has ever made a mistake in the past. It can be applied to anything.
    Bitter is the wind tonight,
it stirs up the white-waved sea.
I do not fear the coursing of the Irish sea
by the fierce warriors of Lothlind.

I think the associations that one makes about such a vague concept (addressing past wrongs) have to do more with our present mindset or interests then any objective properties of the stimulus. In that sense if one is interested in the history of the middle east he will probably make a similar association while if one's field is, i.e., the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire he will make a different one.
