Some ideas
I have some ideas for further releases which I think would give even more depth to gameplay. I will edit this post when I come up with any new ones.
- province ancillaries - once you control a whole province (eg. Sicily), the governor of the capital of the province (Sicily - Syrakuse/Messana) gets the ancillary Province: Sicilia
- the consular banner ancillary, which would show in battle as a blue banner
- consular legion ancillary (pre-Rebellion)
- military service traits (patrician - 2/4 years, legionary (plebeian, equestrian) 10 etc)
- prefect of the city traits (for Romans)
- populares/optimates senatorial parties
- popularity traits for generals (the more succesfull a general is, the more popular he gets with the people - more public order when governing, recruitment costs less etc)
- dynasty trait (Argead, Seleukid, Ptolemaic ...)
- old aristocratic family and new aristocratic family traits (maybe useful for the Greeks and Romans)
- military career (will try to make a list of military officers (tetrarch, strategos etc) for Greek/Hellenistic factions; Carthage used the Hellenistic structure I believe)
- government (like Roman Allied/Annex): allied, confederate (annex), military province or sth for the Greeks/Hellenistic factions
- Chiliarch (Grand Vizier/Regent) trait for Seleucid empire - Chiliarch was the second most important figure in the Seleucid empire (Hephaistion was Alexander's Chiliarch and later Perdiccas, after the former's death) in charge of governing the empire while the King was away; after Alexander's death, Perdiccas was proclaimed the Chiliarch (Regent) of the empire, until Alexander IV came of age; ofc ingame the person who would wield such a power would be very influential, would have good administrative skills, but he could become disloyal if the current ruler isn't a good one (Seleucid civil war maybe?)
- I think the Seleucid kings should be named King of Kings, rather than just King (Basileus), as I believe they continued using that title after Alexander (Seleucus I Nikator)
- Greek epithets for the greek culture factions, instead of English/Latin ones: Nikator instead of Victor, Megas instead of the Great, Theos, Soter, maybe Poliorketes etc Again I'll try to find as many as possible
- I'll try to make a list of Athenian civic career, if you'd like
- Satraps for Seleucids, Parthians, Armenians and possibly Pontus; Satrap was the governor of a satrapy, a king of the region in all but title (that's why the king of Persia was Shahanshah-King of Kings, as satraps were basically the Kings of a region) - they would be the governors of a region, not city (e.g.: Satrap of Persia, which would include in RSII the cities of Persepolis, Istakhr and Tabae; Satrap of Syria -Antiocheia, Tarsos, Laodikeia, Damaskos, Heliopolis etc); my idea is to make it as an ancillary (like Wealthiest Athenian ...), which would give bonus to happinnes, some administration skill and influence (much like the Chiliarch trait but lower bonuses)
