Couping Carthage and Being the New Carthage.
Well I made the roman rebels playable, then after losing in Sicily due to the greek betrayal, I took flight in a ship going to Tripoli. Since I had crushed Hanno's army before the betrayal I figured setting up in Africa would be a good idea. I took Lepcis and Sabratha rather easily as they didn't expect me. But it wasnt long till I went for Cydamae and was beaten. Then I rebuilt my army and Carthage was sending a stack of troops, offering vassalization. But I declined, and used my ship to sail around and take Carthage (Only 2 unit groups.) I then retrained all my infantry and pushed south to take 2 settlements. (I had lost Sabratha.)

Haha, that's one way you can start a Carthage campaign with Roman units.

Re: Couping Carthage and Being the New Carthage.
Its the newest version and it is the Reinforced Stone Wall. It is Syracuse, which rebelled from Carthage after it was taken from me. Otherwise I'd ask a modder because I didn't change them.

Re: Couping Carthage and Being the New Carthage.
Its even got more crazy, After I won the Carthage Civil War, I've begun the Roman Civil War (Rome was allied but after the Indy greeks ceded Messana to me, they attacked.) So I allied the Indy Greeks, and now I come to liberate Tarentum from its besiegers.

Image wouldn't post, anyway there it is.

Re: Couping Carthage and Being the New Carthage.
Its just getting more difficult now, Carthage and Rome have allied, Tarentum has fallen and I've had to fight off 4 legions and more to come. Iberia is dealing with Carthage though. I may try enslaving the city of Rome in a quick raid to greatly weaken them.

Re: Couping Carthage and Being the New Carthage.
Do the rebels have exactly the same roster as the regular romans?

Re: Couping Carthage and Being the New Carthage.
Same roster, you're basically Scipii with Messana and Croton. Except you start with mostly mercs and nothing else but debt and 2 generals. Really fun game though, dealing with 2 super powers. Its the roman 300 practically in the strait of Sicily. Otherwise Carthage still makes big armies for revenge. http://img577.imageshack.us/f/rometw...921122090.png/
Im thinking about playing as the Eastern Kingdoms next.

Re: Couping Carthage and Being the New Carthage.
I think I will try this for my next campaign. Do the Roman Rebels have the same victory conditions as regular Rome or are they just whatever you want them to be?
