The Levy Clubmen Revolution!

Okay, this is seriously starting to annoy me I started my Cimbri Campaign all over again today ( 'cause of the patch ) and hell, I spent I don't know.. about 5 hours fighting off armies of Levy Clubmen trying to mass up just across my border.

What's up with this? Is this some sort of a historical thing where the Barbarians lost their ability to think and make swords so they just used Clubs or something?

They are cheap and with patch can be recruited from any settlement with the new patch. Thus AI thinks "spam time!"

I'm fairly sure that this wasn't happening prior to the 2.1 patch.....

i can confirm that. I had a fairly hard time fighting anyone and very rarely saw any levy forces prior to the patch, though I haven't played after the patch so can't test for a difference, but there appears to be a spam fest occuring where there wasn't before.

Same here.. The EDB was harder than some of my math equations so i just changed their price to 9000.....REally dissapointed by this

edit: this was also a reason i quit my boii campaign; Dacia was spamming these.

Yes this is what causes this problem. The ai has captured a city and has not yet built high enough level recruitment buildings to make something better than the clubmen. Give the AI time though and it will build higher level barracks and then you will start facing a better variety of units.
