All videos on my R:TW game (v1.5) are really slow and judder. This applies to all videos within the game and is quite frustrating. Any way I can change this?

Have you tried updating Windows Media Player?
I have the latest version, although I've had some problems due to a recent virus (not solved). Should I reinstall WMP?

It would not hurt. The virus could still be playing with it, too.
Reinstalled and scanned with AVG: no use. The videos are still slow and laggy. Gameplay is fine, like I said, only the videos (Activision intro, etc.) are just dire.

Hopefully someone else has an idea.
Hmm i can remember that a friend had this problem too, it could be solved
i just don't know how,
i'll try to contact him. (it was like a year ago when he had that problem but you never know)
let's first ask the standard question:
can your computer handle R:TW easy ?
If you're not an virus-geek stop using AVG and turn to Avast home edition - AVG has problems with removing some virus threats , he can "see" them but he can't remove them - and also install Malwarebytes or SpyBot Search and destroy :
Install and updated Avast - register for one year license before .
Install and update Malwarebytes ( here ).
Scan first using Malwarebytes > if it discovers threats select all and use the remove option > restart your computer .
Scan using Avast > if it discovers threats select all and instead of the default option ( quarantine ) select delete/remove .
Remember to use safe-browsing rules , always .
Anyway , I still believe that your problem is not virus-based , but you'll never know .
Also you can try this:
