    Default Flamethrowers/Snipers/Deployment Zones

After nearly two weeks of gaming, I must say that the TGW is certainly the most radical and challenging mod I have ever seen. The developers must be crazy to create such a violent (and addicting) mod. I felt sorry for my poor pixels.
But here's some problems (particularly during battles, because I know that you cannot change the campaign much) of TGW:
    1. Too small deployment zones: Because of the massive unit sizes, units were often clumped together and didn't create enough space to settle a nice formation during the deployment phase. I often had to disable fire at will for my artillery simply because there are hundreds of my soldiers in front of them.
    2. Useless units: Flamethrowers and snipers were useless, especially flamethrowers. Militia battalions can exterminate them in one volley because their sizes is TOO small. 24 men, wtf?
I suggest raising them to at least 100 to better reflect their cost.

Please, please, PLEASE, god... If you give us back Freddie Mercury, we will not only give you Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus... We will give you the whole disney realitystarcrew!!!
And if you're wondering if it's worth to give up your favourite artist, then we'll throw Jay Z and Lady Gaga in the pool too

Snipers are not useless if you use them correctly, you must stay out of range of the enemy. One sniper unit can really rout one 400 men infantry/militia unit. The flamethrowers though I think is worse than cavalry, which means useless. The deployment issue can you solve by lowering the unit size from ultra to large. Hope I was of assistance

Flamethrowers aren't enteriley useless. In my German campaign I place them right next to, or inbetween infiltration battalions, have the rifle battalion draw the enemies fire, and flank the enemy with the flamthrowers, which 90% of the time causes them to rout very easily. Just like with your calvary you have to be extremley careful with them.

From the very first time I fixed my eyes on youuu girl... My heart says follow through..

Flametrowers rocks! I had 1 battelíon with flame trowrrs and they were attacked by 5 rilfe battelions and they forced 3 battelions to retreat. And when deafeting the third battelion I just had 1 flamtrower soldier left

    Thanks for compliments i guess

Snipers have definitely been useful for me, especially with the sniping ability (in 4.2 or 4.5, idk) and guerrilla deployment. They're best for taking out artillery tbh. Flamethrowers I haven't used well much but I can assure you they have been used successfully against me

And lastly, I thought we included a mod that raised deployment zones? Or maybe that was custom battles only.

i beg to differ. snipers, are of anything, the best troops in the game. in one battle i put two sniper battalions on a hill and together they caused over 2000 casulties! they completely exterminated the cavalry that was sent against them, and all artillery untill the enemy was dead in the water and i shelled them to death. on a side note, loveing the new avatar mitch

I admit that my previous thoughts about snipers are untrue. After a few tests, I am impressed by the superior range and accuracy of these elite units, and indeed they score huge number of kills.
My misconception of snipers is probably because how the AI sometimes use them: march straightly into my infantry's range and exchange fire.

I have seen the AI use snipers rather correctly, with devastating effect (especially since, in the BETA version, snipers can hide while firing). They are, however, most useful against enemy artillery and other important targets - engaging the average infantry battalion is a waste of ammunition.
