    Minor Mod.

    Summary:

    Problem and Solution

    1)
    Problem:when run program it is in window screen and something strange with the resolution.
    Solution: You know the shortcut to activate the game
    right click on it and click property
    in target it should have

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -mod:bi\shogun2 -show_err -nm -ne -enable_editor

    change this to

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -mod:bi\shogun2 -show_err -nm -enable_editor

    by deleting the -ne
    this dismisses the windowed feature, I think

    2)
    Problem: Cannot build ship
    Solution : Unlock ships in both files
    2.1 export_desc_buildings.txt
    2.2 export_descr_unit.txt

    path
    You must place the two files into "Path to your Rome directory/Rome - Total War/BI/shogun2/data".

    Detail: some factions cannot in the list for construct ship. Then i add all factions can constuct ships.

    Problem:
    1. When run RNJ => The unit disappear on Battle map. (not hiding in grass or snow)
    2. unit size is so small (40)

    solution:
    1 Edit preference.txt and change value by set more detail and unit will not disappear.
    2 The previous unit size is 40 and i change it to 80.

    You can use program winmerge.exe for see diffrerent location in preference.txt.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\BI\shogun2\preferences


    For low graphics, please change it to suitable value.

    I've merged my fixed and kenny2010's into one zip file to make life easier
    + some startpos and mercenary work I've done over the weekend

    I hope kenny wouldn't mind lending his excellent work

    Problem: Ship picture is not show in unit card...
    Root cause: no picture in directory.
    Solution: add dummy picture into directory.

    1. Problem: When you siege or assault castle, you cannot select to build siege engine
    Root cause: Picture is too big and it consume space for others object
    Solution: change resolution of the picture

    Note: this can be the same problem for joint invasion and joint defend. Reduce the size of picture can help us.

    2. problem: The preview map is not shown on menu screen.
    Root cause: Disable this item
    Solution: Enable this item

    Follow we are try to create sub-mod for re-balance RNJ game before release version 1.1.
    (ALL-IN-ONE) SUB-MOD......

    This sub-mod is increase population and re-balance resources.
    Thanks for (hajimemasite) about add army into campaign map.

    This sub-mod include all fix bugs, fix graphics + modifications (balance+playable).
    (All-in-one)
    Except preference.txt only (depend on your computer screen and graphics card support)

    Detail......

    1.) Extract zip
    2.) Put "bi" folder you acquired via expanding into Rome - Total War folder
    which you have installed Ran no Jidai mod.
    eg.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\

    3.) overwrite everything which it tells you to overwrite

    REMEMBER TO DELETE "map.rwm" IN
    C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\bi\shogun2\data\world\maps\base
    FOLDER!!!
    (if the file doesn't exist, your fine)

    This fix includes following fixes
    1. economic bankruptcy fixed with farm income increased, add resources for trade (kenny2010)
    2. path finding problem fixed(hajimemasite)
    3. ship building capability fixed (kenny2010)

    and some additional feature to the mod
    1. startpos (non-historical accuracy)(hajimemasite)
    2. mercenary (historicaly accurate)(hajimemasite)

    Furthermore,
    1 Add picture of ship in unit card (kenny2010)
    2 Add resources shown in campaign map (kenny2010)
    3 Increase value of each resources for trading (kenny2010)
    4 Fix graphics error when siege castle (kenny2010)
    5 Increase population 2 times from original (i play 80 not 40) (kenny2010)
    6 Re-balance resources (kenny2010)
    7 Unlocked preview map on menu (kenny2010)
    8 fix bug about land joint attack and sea joint attack graphics (kenny2010)


    When you want the old setting back, simply reinstall the Ran no Jidai 1.0 than you'll be fine

    New Fix for Teppo ..... by (hajimemasite)
    Follow this link, you can recruit teppo from the early of the game.

    Hint:
    Now you can with this new fix
    if you build christian building or get to the last level of sword smith, you can recruit them

    The next patch are
    1. Graphics not display in winning option screen (to select occupy/.../... ) .
    2. Teppo fix patch (hajimemasite) : include fix many like Trait and Ancillary, unit and building, etc.


    And i think it is okay and ready for play till RNJ official patch 1.1 coming.
    (Thanks for the original RNJ excellent job.)

    For Playing Game:
    1 Install Rome Total war + BI addon + BI 1.6 patch
    2 Download Ran No Jidai 1.0
    3 Download (All-in-one) sub-mod + Teppo fix
    4 Download Preferences.txt (option)
    5 Play it ....

    You're doing great work Kenny

    But I'd advise you not to do too many things.

    We have a great member Called Juggernaut who is our History expert, and is working on Campaign Faction Descriptions already, this is a long process which he has been doing great and has progressed far.

    So I would ask you not to do work in vain.

    Please try to start a new game and report bugs to RNJ team.

    Wundai : I think, i did it enough .... (The game is sufficient enough for play).
    For description and other like text and graphics 2D,3D : Waiting for core RNJ to create and edit (I am not touch this part).
    Someone means someone in your team to edit. vermicious knid invite me for be a part of team for test
    and internal fix bugs already. Which released in patch 1.1 soon.

    Waiting for a long time and finally it is almost finished. Thank you.

    right,tried to install sub mod but must have got it wrong.dl'ed it,unzipped it,moved the bi file contained therein to my rtw location,did not prompt me to overwrite anything so i assume ive muffed it in some way! could you kindly tell me exactly what do i put exactly where useing exactly which command?
    useing simple terms a luddite can understand would be a distinct advantage!

    Ok, All In One Fix + some balancing
    download the attachment to view this fix

    I balanced recruitment cost and some other areas
    and you now can recruit gens from high level governmental building
    and all settlement has lowest level farm
    and it gets more varieties for recruitment, for some settlements

    This fix includes
    Kenny's fix up till ver 5
    teppo fix
    christian fix
    rebel fix

    the game is still quite imbalanced even with this fix, but the game I think is much more fun using this fix

    Install manual included in 7z. Extract it and read the read me file

    Instruction for submod and patch

    1 extract zip file
    2 copy bi folder to your rome total war home
    3 the copy will replace folder bi
    4 the os will ask you to replace this (bi folder)
    5 confirm to replace
    6 run RNJ shortcut program again
