No blacksmith in some castles?
Hello,
I've noticed that in some settlements I can't build blacksmith. For example in Magdeburg. Is there a way to add a possibility to build a blacksmith during ongoing campaign? I tried to modify some text files but without effect.
Thank you in advance

Re: No blacksmith in some castles?
To build a Blacksmith your settlement must have iron as a resource or the possibility to develop to the highest level. If none of these conditions are met you can't build it.

Re: No blacksmith in some castles?
And if i want to have blacksmith in province that has no iron or has no metropolis resource in SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\DLV_ext\data\world\maps\base\descr_regions file? I know the requirements for castle_blacksmith from export_descr_buildings file. How can I add possibility to build a blacksmith in province in which this possibility is disabled? Is it possible?

Re: No blacksmith in some castles?
Look in export_descr_buildings.txt. The blacksmith you're after will have a requirement listed. Just remove the requirement and you will be able to build it. It's the only way to do it without starting a new campaign.

Thank You Taiji
That helped. I assume that adding iron or metropolis resources to descr_regions.txt works with new campaign? Anyway again thank You for help.

Re: No blacksmith in some castles?
You're welcome
I think you have to delete map.rwm in the data\world\maps\base to get the regions to update properly. But yes, that is what you can do for a new campaign.
