    Default Campaign map stuttering.

Hello, Im sorry if this is the wrong place to post but I have a major problem.
My campaign map keeps stuttering/lagging when I move it making it too stressful for my eyes to play. I have been checking internet for 2 days to find a solution but found nothing useful. The battlemap works fine on high and other games like metro2033 run on high with dx11.

    My specs
    Sapphire PCI-e Radeon HD6870 1GB 2xDVI/HDMI/2xDP
    AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2GHz 8MB AM3 Black Box
    Antec Earthwatts 650W
Asus Crosshair III Formula AMD 790FX, SATA2 RAID
    OCZ 2x2GB DDR3 SDRAM PC8500 CL7.0 Gold Edition
    Western Digital 640GB SATA300 32MB, WD6401AALS
Samsung LED Monitor XL2370 23", HDMI (using 1080p)

I have the latest amd driver 10.10

I tried to play on lowest settings with low resolution with overclock and with turbo mode on(TuneUp) but its still stattering which tell me its not the lack of power that is doing it. I would really appreciate if someone could help me out with this. Been waiting to play this for so long and now I cant

    Welcome to TWC!

Your comp can run NTW on highest settings, don't worry on that. Have you tried resseting your computer? Have you ever defragmented the computer? Do you have other resource-eating programs running the the background? (simplest way to check this is to press ctrl+alt+delete).

Overclocking usually doesn't do too well to these games, but it shouldn't stutter that much...

none of that is the problem ive check it many times already.
I read that using older 10.5 drivers might help but I dont think my 6870 is supported by those older drivers.
the sad thing is after waiting for so long to play it I cant and to top it off I wasted 30euro

You are the second one posting with the 6870. Will its drivers go back to 10.5? I don't know as I have Nvidia.

Do you have the CCC set to application controlled?
    Have you installed directx 9.0c, C++ 2005 SP1, and .Net 4 manually?
If you have it in crossfire, do you have the profiles from AMD?

There is a setting in the CCC to set all programs to application controlled. You set your graphics setting in the game. You set them in the CCC, they will try to override the game's settings and cause things like this.

Following up on your suggestion Irishron, I've often wondered...if I wish to have the application control all the gfx settings, is there any benefit at all to having CCC running? By default, I shut CCC down with my GameBooster every time...I just want to make sure I'm not missing any hidden benefits.

    cheers!

Try different Catalyst A.I settings. Usually I go 10.5 with advanced Catalyst A.I setting.

I had the problem of the campaign map tearing and going crazy, on 10.11, got 5850's in crossfire, went to 10.5 and everything is running like butter!

    Have you tried Shader 2?
Have you tried a lower monitor resolution?
Have you tried turning off the eyecandy?

    But why?

This problem is about CPU, not graphic card.
