Default Rome: Total War Hosted Modifications

I don't want to be rude , but I see that some Mod threads from the Rome: Total War Hosted Modifications ( here ) are pure and simple dead or almost dead ( Spartacus: Total War , Viking: Total War ) and other mods from the Mod Threads ( this EXCLUDES my thread + Mod ) that will deserve a place in the Hosted Modification area are not present there . Could people do some justice around here and help this scene develop or the Old Wolfs that are already there have no place for the Underdogs ?

I posted this here because I couldn't find any better place for it .

With respect to all the work for all modders ,

Thanks for the reply , this proves that I'm not lonely in this , but we are not here to judge others people work , just to raise some questions - I really believe that some mods from this sub-forum can develop much more if they were in the Hosted Modification area . As an example just look at how many people browse at a time this two areas - at one time today they were 231 people viewing Hosted Modifications and 3 Mod Threads . I really hoped that more people would have shared some opinions around this but from 40 views just one reply ....

Mods aren`t given a sub-forum based on what the twc staff thinks of them. The people making the mod need to ask for it. If they don`t ask they don`t have one. And pretty much vice versa. It`s not a question to shoving stuff from here to there and back.

Thank you Florin , and do you know what steps to take for others to follow in order to get their mods in the Hosted Modification area ? This will greatly help others and if you had reputation enabled you'll have got some I'm sure of that .

It`s pretty common knowledge actually. There is an administrator who deals with setting it up, but not necessarily the same person since they come and go. There used to be an announcement in the eras section that instructed who to PM in order to receive a sub-forum and what details you should forward. In lack of that I suppose you just need to ask who`s in charge. But you can`t ask for a sub-forum for someone else`s mod. They need to ask themselves.

Thanks, I think it's about this one : New Service for All Modders .
Hope that some people around here will ask for it because they deserve more for the work they do . Thank you once again , greetings from a small-town near Resita .

It really is a shame about Spartacus. It looked quite excellent.

Yes, and I thought that with all this new wave that came with Spartacus: Blood and Sand , that this mod will evolve more ...anyway , it would have had a short story - you can only recreate some battles that the gladiators / slaves had with the Romans , and not RPG style battles in the Arena .
LE: Needless to say something about the xxx scenes , just a joke .

Long time ago I gave the suggestion that Spartacus TW mod should be more like a story driven campaign with you playing a Horde faction that cannot produce any units. The script would give you obstacles, some historical, some not, and if you finished the obstacle the script would give you more units. There should also be "hero" units such as Spartacus and Crixus with very strong bodyguards but if they died, you have no real replacement for their unit. Dunno if they went on that direction though.

I had a similar idea where scripted units would be added when you captured a settlement, this would simulate people joining the rebellion. Also playing as the slave faction you would be joined by the randomly generated units. The map should also have only focused on 'Italy' with part of 'Gaul' and 'Sicily' ... I was going to make 'A Spartacus' mod myself, even made units for it (they ended up in '300' as mercenaries) but don't have the time any more...

I've also asked this thread be moved to the correct forum..

Spartacus TW is a very good idea, but they need some good modellers, because their units sucks....

??? well everyone had another kind of taste... and Spartacus TW models actually very harmonious when they are placed aside another vanilla units... I know they ain't fully historical, but at least they will give a nice show on the field... along with "vanilla" untouched units

Moved to General TW Discussion and Resources. If you are going to criticize another mod or its units, please do so constructively.
