    Default Your Greatest Generals

Have any interesting generals? Post a screenshot of their traits and ancillaries here. They don't have to have a lot of Command Stars or Influence Wreaths. Maybe they just have some unusual traits. Or maybe they've conquered several areas that give special messages, or won the Olympics, or have obtained high office among their people.

You may also wish to describe some of their exploits or how they got this way.

To get a good screenshot of all his traits -save the game and march him into a battle. On the screen just before you commit to fight or run, you can right click on him and see all his traits without being obscured by merc hirings and such.

This is my champion, the original faction leader for casse, he has conqered all Egnland and Ireland and now moves on into new lands. He has had the 10's in all thre areas, command stars, influce, and management, since about age of 31 or 32. He has gotten old however, but still lives on fighting the good fight. (note he also posses the "stopped force march" trait, i jsut didnt feel like taking another picture for that 1 trait alone and the 2 that are covered up by the info are "shieldbearer, and carelss"). -Leon

No wonder he got nailed, there's nothing but pubs and scenery here... And the wet, the cold and the potato.

No potatos. And little alcohol then, either; most early Gaelic aristocracy imported their alcohol from Gaul and other places famed for wine, though there is proof of some beer production in the northwest (though that was likely still in native hands at the start of the campaign). Britain had then, and still does, produce substantially more alcohol (which is nothing new, a lot of kings and such from the period were buried with casks of beer; yes, because that's exactly what you'll need in the next world...a lot of beer).

The British generals are bugged, I think. Their stats seem to raise too fast anyway.

Ok, this guy sure isn't my greatest general, but he just came of age and hasn't gotten a trait since he came of age this year. Playing as Pontos, this kid just was so cool! The Pontic Royal family ethnicity plus his sharp/uncharasmatic/vigorous must have led to him being cultured and a fluent speaker and positive with rational beliefs. He's introverted and standoffish, but already is a strict governor and has no enemies. He's almost the perfect manager general one could hope for (for this faction). I just love it when you get a really good character who fits in so well with what you'd expect. I just wish there were some better schools in Amaseia to send him to!

I dunno how many could be related to him, but I suppose any of them could claim it:

"This man's family has always claimed to have been descended through a 'secret' son of Alexandros and Barsine. It's highly doubtful, but stranger things have happened. His friends tease him about it and his wrestling coach sneers at it, but it has proved to be an effective pick-up line on more than one occasion."

That is a good pick-up line. Hmm, there are some girls at my school who know who Alexander is, after the movie, but are pretty stupid...

This isn't a greatest general, but I found a peculiar one. My Half Greek Half iranian adopted general is called "Jong-Ku Ta-hsia." which seems typical for a name from beyond India, perhaps of the Yuezhi. I've never heard of it or something similiar carried by an iranian.

Unfortunately we can't get anything to affect what name is going to be used by a given character, and we can't get a name to affect traits or photos either. It would rock if we could!

Wish I had a decent general to post, unfortunately their Macedonian tendencies seem to be showing full force. Every last one of them excepting the Hellen is a drunkard.

My best general (playing as Rome) I dont have a screenshot of (RTW is on my computer which is not connected to the net...Im lazy).
But he was not an original general and is the first patician Ive got to adopt. His x/x/x traits were all posiitive (eg sharp, vigorous, etc) but he had no talent in any field (command, management or influence).
After figuring out that the best way to gain command stars in EB is to autocalc battles against small rebels while having 2 units plus a general of my own He quickly (well 5 years....and the italian peninsula is very unhappy with me right now...heheh) gained full command stars. Then I sat him in Rome for 2 years (8 turns) and his management rose (had 5 influence by now btw) to 7. Then I decided it was time to go to war with carthage...who had just landed a full stack in siciliy...on which I had no city.
Now after taking all the carthiginian island cities (not the ones in iberia or africa) with a total of 6 units (including himself) he has returned to Rome in triumph (I assume this was because he defeated 3 carthaginian full stacks....and took carthage itself for a turn before running for his life back across the sea. (but in triumph....).
And just to prove his manliness he is a blatant adulterer, ex-consul (I dont know how or when that happened, same with the ex-aedile, ex-quaster), as well as suitably scarred (which happened when I charged his unit into the centre of the enemy battle line when my army was all wavering...he took 6 hits.....lucky his very healthy).
Rome is much more fun to play as than pontus....I can afford to chase those damn pirates.

Well I have Hannibal's dad romping around Italy killing romans, so soon I hope hannibal gets born*I love how Hamilcar was born with his bio already, so cool! God I love this mod*. Iberia is annoying me, so he's got a job to do.
I shouldn't have to live in a world where all the good points are horrible ones.

Is he hurt? Everybody asks that. Nobody ever says, 'What a mess! I hope the doctor is not emotionally harmed by having to deal with it.'
