i had a banner about the teutonic order in turn ~92
im just keeping a ton of soldiers in a part of my empire i wouldnt normaly have to defend exclusively for them and its annoying. it must have cost me like 10000 just in maintnance by now

You are playing the early campaign.

You have to wait longer. Teutonic order and mongols are earlier available in the late campaign, but their historical appearance takes a while. First the mongols, then the order, I think.

i did got the msgs of a threat from the east and all that
but no movies of mongols or teutons
as far as i recall they should have appeared by now

If you're getting threats, Mongols should be here in about 10 turns or so.

yes they finaly appeared. i killed the teutons while the mongols broke the persian's back. not before i took 3 of his regions for myself of course. with the eastern front secure i allowed myself to take over norway completely. seems like russia will cooly slide into victory.
