    Default Symphony of Science

Who here loves the music series about science and it's wonders about t.

    A new video just uploaded:

"A Wave of Reason" is the seventh installment in the Symphony of Science music video series. It is intended to promote scientific reasoning and skepticism in the face of growing amounts of pseudoscientific pursuits, such as Astrology and Homeopathy, and also to promote the scientific worldview as equally enlightening as religion. It features Carl Sagan, Bertrand Russell, Sam Harris, Michael Shermer, Lawrence Krauss, Carolyn Porco, Richard Dawkins, Richard Feynman, Phil Plait, and James Randi.

“Nothing could be more dangerous to the existence of this Republic than to introduce religion into politics”

I've not heard of this project before. Beautifully done.

Comrade Wiggums' inspiration for an avatar needs more screen time. He is the most handsome and poetic of the lot (but not in the video). Can't say I like the electronically altered voices, but I guess it was a neccessity.

Jill Bolte Taylor's voice is kinda annoying, but otherwise a very good song. Carl definitely steals the show as he does in most the others (an enchanted looooooooommmmnnnnuuuhhh ). Bill Nye needs moar parts.

I'm sure there will be plenty of Feynman in the next physics related one.

I found "A Wave of Reason" to be maddeningly addictive...
Please note that I will be off to British Columbia for research purposes between the 14th July and 12th September - as such, I will not be able to log on.

    QUANTUM MECHANICS MUSIC VIDEO!

    Epic.

Feynman's quote at the end was an excellent touch. It truly embodies the wonder and excitement of investigating the universe.

They are brilliant, I love listening to them.

The George Carlin one is quite funny

It's too bad he's been unable to use Carl Sagan (something to do with a project Ann Druyan is working on, who owns the rights to Carl's image), he would have made this one epic. Unfortunately it's only awesome.

Also Alice Roberts is a babe.

David Attenborough makes up for that, though

Oh my God*. I just thought about this 5 minutes before i saw this thread. While playing Oblivion.

Odd. Was good, though. Not his best, though.

Indeed, I'd like to determine the magnitude of my complex vector on her real-imaginary plane.
