Half Life: Total War
Knowing my run of luck, the entire community will hate this, but I probably couldn't do this without help so here goes:
the basic idea is to give players command of the rebel's after Half Life 2 Episode two against the Combine Overwatch, for those who play Gordon and Alyx will leave in the opening scene to go to the Borealis and you are left as primary commander of the rebels to hold at least white forest missile silo until a set number of turns, after which Gordon and Alyx will return.
the reason I'm not using the later engines is for many reasons, not least because I want to of as much work as I can on this without going into the core programming, I also read that Napoleon and Empire modding is very much in its infancy and R:TW will likely have answers to any problems encountered.

Only played the normal Half Life 2, no expansions. But I re-read your post and it makes more sense now. I forgot what Combine Overwatch was, your spelling without capitals and an extra space didnt help here.
So you want to make a mod with te player being the rebels and the rest of the world being Combine Overwatch and all that? I'll play if there is a crowbar unit! And headcrabs!
