    Welcome to The East India Company RPG. Set in the exotic lands of the Far East, you will be a part of a newly minted Trading company. You will be on the forefront of the battle for global trade. As a newcomer in the trade scene in the East, there will be much difficultly in asserting your place in the world as you compete with other more established Trading companies. But a strong sword arm may be enough to force your way in.

    Everyone will play in a single Trading Company, but that's not to say that no one can rebel...

    As a new joint stock company, there are many things you have to do before you can officially become a true force in the East. For starters you have to make your company's name, you must also determine your company's headquarters. Keep in mind, that if your company HQ is raided or blockaded in the game, half of your income will be deducted. So choose carefully.

    The Basic decisions such as the Company name and where the Company is based at will be decided by the community collectively.

    When this is done, we may then begin.


    Positions:
    That players can choose from.
    Governing Body Governor(1)
    Starting Income: 700
    Income: 500
    As the elected Governor of the Company, the responsibility of the integrity of the company assets lay solely on your shoulders, aside from ensuring the survival of your men, you must answer to the stockholders back home and ensure above everything else that the Company's assets are always positive!

    #Soldiers you can command: Unlimited


    Directors(3)
    Starting Income: 500
    Income:200
    As a director you have the privilege of being a part of the company board of directors, the governing body of the company. And as such you have a voice in Company policy and may be elected to the position of Governor.

    Rank wise, Directors occupy a rank of Colonel, but their position and the amount of stocks they have, gives them the right to have as many soldiers as they want.


    Later on, Directors can be appointed by Governors.

    #Soldiers you can command: Unlimited


    Colonel
    Starting Income: 200
    Income:100
    As a colonel of the Company's private army, you will have the ability to lead men into battle.

    #Soldiers you can command: 1000

    Major
    Starting Income: 100
    Income:50
    As a Major of the Company's private army, you will still be able to lead soldiers into battle, though you are subordinate to a higher command

    #Soldiers you can command: 100


    Private
    Starting Income: 50
    Income:20
    You are the private. You fight for money, and adventure. Fight hard and you may be promoted.

    Details
    Now that you have a basic understanding of the game, its time to learn the rest of the rules which aren't that many.

    TW and You Empire Total War will be used in the game in order to bring another perspective in the RPG. Roleplaying will be effected by events in the game, if the Company HQ in London, Paris or Rome is occupied by enemy forces this will disrupt the income of the Company.


    The Map
    In the map provided further down below. You will see two massive campaign theatres. There will be two icons that you will see once the game starts.

    These Icons are:

    City Icon
    These pre-existing cities, are major points of commerce in a country. You cannot build cities only take or defend it.






    Fort Icon
    These are static fortifications that can help the company solidify their strangle hold on a country.

    To construct a Fort, it costs 500 000, and takes about a week to complete.

    Making money for the Company
    In the end of the day, your here to make money for the company and its stock holders.

    Cities:
    Taking cities are the primary way of making money. Each city has a base value of income of 500.

    Forts:

    Building or taking Forts can also provide income from the taxation of the local population, albeit it provides a smaller yield of 100.

    Units Company Infantry: $20 per soldier/ Upkeep $10

    Company Cavalry: $40 per soldier/ Upkeep $20

    Native Infantry: $5 per soldier/ Upkeep $2.5

    Native Cavalry: $10 per soldiers/ Upkeep $5

    Company Artillery: $50 per artillery piece/ Upkeep $25

    Unlike Company soldiers, Native soldiers can only be recruited when the company holds a colony. Until then only Company soldiers can be recruited.

    Battles:
    Similar to battles in most RPGs such as GSTK and Vive L'Empire. Battles will be conducted as an Roleplaying event. Where a thread will be put up and the players will RP to bring about victory or defeat. As you have already seen the two campaign theatres are dotted with Cities and Forts, occupying cities and Forts will be where most of your focus will be on.

    Items

    Similar to GSTK and other RPGs, items such as weapons and etc will can be purchased to improve combat and other traits. Like Assassination defense and etc.

    This system is being constructed by Master Magic Mage, and should be done in a couple days or so.

    Sounds fun, Remind me if this ever gets started. Albeit names for the forts/cities on the map would help thick people like me with limited knowledge on American geography.
