    Default Best Battle Record (Win/Loss/Difficulty)

Here's probably my best two battle records (playing two campaigns at once)

    101-32-Hard (Spain)
    98-17-Hard (England)

It was interesting to see when I compared how much of a difference geological locations make in terms of battle wins/losses. Spain, bordered by two factions from the start (Portugal, Moors), then later being bordered by Portugal, Moors, and France, how much it turned into conflict. And of course the fact that Spain shares the same peninsula with a Islamic faction turns into more fighting.

While on the other hand, England is bordered by Scotland (not a worthy battle opponent if you ask me) and France, but is not bordered by any Islamic factions. I ran into considerably less conflicts then I did when playing Spain.

What's your best battle records and who did you play?

Haven´t really kept track of that before...
But I could do it with my current papal campaign - I have lost pretty few battles this time.

What do you mean? like casualties vs casualties? or starting numbers vs starting numbers?
or do you mean overall win vs loss?

    Usually don't follow this.

The game counts withdrawal by my orders to be a loss. (I kill 50-60% of the opposition with minimal loss, but run out of arrows, I withdraw -> the game puts it as a loss, however I know I won)

He means how many battles you´ve won/lost.
You can find it in the Faction scroll.

My usual ratio of win:lose is almost always around 10:1. On average by turn 200 I get around 400 victories and 30 defeats on M/M and H/H.

Most of my victories come from VERY persistent sieges from the enemy (to the extend I get bored of the game mostly due to this). I sally alot with calvary and archers.

Most of my defeats come from naval battles as I tend to neglect navies until I get carracks. Thus my ships get raped alot out in the sea.

I don't have alot of field battles except vs rebels. My usual tactic will be to hold a settlement from sieges until I am ready to move onto the next one.

I am not sure when an enemy engage me in the world map and I choose to withdraw it counts as defeat or not but I do that often. I don't like to play defensive on field.

One thing I think will skew that ratio...
If you approach an enemy, "attack" them, (so you can see what their army is) and then choose to withdraw, i think it counts that as a loss.

No, it dont count that as a loss. If you get attacked and click withdraw then it counts it as a loss.

Mines is 293:7 in my English campaign. At war with Denmark, Holy Roman Empire (HRE), France, Portugal, spain, and Milan. I don't use navies that is lower than 1 stack in strength.

I just holds on to the top parts of France; Rennes, Caen, Antwerp, and Brudges. I wiped out Scotland before turn 10. I am staying defensive until the Mongols get a settlement, then I will make my move for the Holy sites with a crusade

5-1 or 7-1 on most games.

No super armies and I don't defend my regions as well as I should, try to max my money out so I try to keep as small a military as I can.

1 to 2 armys max and maybe a merc one if I get into alot of wars at once. Navy battles are mostly a win, just build up 10-12 and start attacking. Losses come from losing citys or if I get sandwiched between 2 full enemy stacks or something like that.

I fight all my battles and I fight most of them open field. I don't like sitting in a settlement and defending it because if the enemy breaches the walls/gates I have to spend money to repair it. Of course I only fight open field when I have an army large enough to fight theirs, and I will sit in a settlement if I know it is the only way to win.

Most of my losses came when I was trying to wrestle the Iberian peninsula from Moors and Portugal. I have yet to lose a siege in this campaign.

By the time I win or defeat the Mongols and Timurids I usually have lost over a thousand battles. This is because I take raw level 0 recruits into "training" attacks in which they lose huge numbers of men who are then replaced by merging with higher chevroned units. So, by the time the Mongols show up I have lots of men with 9 chevrons. Level 9 Jinetes and horse archers are particularly nasty and feared by elephants. Level 10 (9 chevroned) Border Horse with armor and weapon upgrades are very effective against Mongol horse archers (or any other). This may be an exploit, but to do it requires a lot of money so you have to be good at growing your economy and winning battles to get the promotions in the first place.

I don't lose. I don't keep specific track of my win:loss rate, but it's probably 30:1 or higher. Losses coming almost exclusively from naval engagements - since there are few real consequences to losing a naval battle in most cases, I don't overbuild my navy and instead use that money to fund more troops on land.

When I do lose a land battle I get very upset... I consider it a failure of strategic planning, ie. not having enough men present on the right terrain and not having done enough with spies and assassins to cripple the enemy's ability to fight.

    I've hit a good streak on Spain. I'm 152-39.

My campaign stats usually show poor records (~65%-35% splits) because I put a lot of prep work into my battles. I don't lose on the field, ever, because I'm too careful to lose men needlessly. I click the "withdraw" button a LOT.

My current Welsh campaign H/H in Kingdoms: Britannia has a win/loss ratio of 103/14. 13 of those 14 losses are sea battles, the one land battle loss was intentional... had some troops I didn't want anymore, figured I'd sacrifice them in a suicide attack... which I almost won: came so close I was actually upset when I didn't!

I've gotten to the point where in history that the Spanish navy started to dominate. I am cleaning up the western Mediterranean. Milan, France, Venice, and Moors all fall victim to my navy Best part is they are so close together. Now my record is 203-40

    My best are:

    England: 321/11
    Russia: 304/2

With Russia I've barely used any navy at all, and if I did I'd use a strong fleet. I HATE losing

Edit: And of course, I never ever use auto-resolve. NEVER!

In my current Russian campaign my ratio is 57/1.
The one I lost I was battling three full stacks of Danish troops ( suspiciously good troops given their economic situation...) against my force which consisted of 15 units of pure mercenaries. I actually had a general isolated on the other side of Hamburg because he just married one of my princesses, so Denmark attacks me, I have him hire up those mercs and lead a daring attack on Hamburg while the rest of my army takes Copenhagen, Arhus and Stettin. The idiot Danes used all their strength against one of the Five armies attacking them... Sure they won that battle, but when my Russian troops arrived under their German czar (Otto Von Kassel, I like to get foreign leaders, it's an idiosyncrasy) we mopped the floor with them and Denmark is no more. Their cities have been exterminated and their religion persecuted!

For a lot of you guys, this game must be pretty damn boring if you're not losing.
